ClickUp and Zapier help automate your project and task management workflows. You can use triggers like new tasks or task changes to automatically create tasks, update their status, or post comments.
Prerequisites
To use the ClickUp app on Zapier, you must have:
Connect ClickUp to Zapier
To create an app connection to ClickUp on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select ClickUp.
- Click Add connection.
- A new browser tab or window will open.
- Log into ClickUp to authenticate.
- Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.
Your ClickUp account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- New Message Posted to Channel - Triggers when a new message is posted to a specific channel you choose.
- New Comment on a Task - Triggers when a new Comment is added to a Task in ClickUp.

Limitations
- Guest users cannot use the Zapier integration.
- API rate limits apply based on workspace plan. Free Forever, Unlimited, and Business plans are limited to 100 requests per minute per token, Business Plus allows 1,000 requests per minute, and Enterprise allows 10,000 requests per minute.
- Some triggers and actions require you to provide specific Space, Folder, or List IDs which must be obtained through the ClickUp API to identify unique locations in your workspace.
