Microsoft Outlook and Zapier connect to automate your email and calendar tasks. You can trigger actions when new emails arrive or events are created and send emails or create calendar events.
Prerequisites
To use the Microsoft Outlook app on Zapier, you must have:
- A Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise account.
- An Exchange Online mailbox.
- Administrator consent or approval for third-party application access if your organization has restricted user consent settings.
Connect Microsoft Outlook to Zapier
To create an app connection to Microsoft Outlook on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Microsoft Outlook.
- Click Add connection.
- A new browser tab or window will open.
- Log into Microsoft Outlook to authenticate.
- Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.
Your Microsoft Outlook account is now successfully connected to Zapier.
Keep your Microsoft app connection active
Microsoft automatically expires the refresh token Zapier uses to connect to them for security reasons. This happens if any of the following events occur:
- You change or reset your password.
- The token is not used for 14 days.
- 90 days have passed since the token was issued.
There's no way to prevent these expiration rules, so when your token expires, you'll need to reconnect your account.
