Monday.com and Zapier connect to automate your work. You can trigger actions when new items are created or column values change and create new items or update existing ones.

Prerequisites

To use the monday.com app on Zapier, you must have:

An active Monday.com account with Admin or Member user permissions for the boards, workspaces you want to connect.
A Monday.com Standard plan or higher. as these plans supports integrations.

Find your monday.com credentials

To find your personal access token, refer to monday.com’s instructions.

Connect to monday.com on Zapier

To create an app connection to monday.com on Zapier:

Go to the Apps page.
Click + Add connection.
A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select monday.com.
Click Add connection.
A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
In the API Token field, enter your personal access token.
Click Yes, Continue to monday.com.

Your monday.com account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations

API Rate Limits apply. monday.com enforces several rate limits including daily call limits (200 for Free/Trial, 1,000 for Basic/Standard, 10,000 for Pro, 25,000 for Enterprise), complexity limits, minute rate limits, concurrency limits, and IP limits (5,000 requests per 10 seconds).
To use advanced column types like Connect Boards, Dependency Columns, Tags, Country, World Clock, Week, Hour, Rating, and Checkbox, you'll need to apply specific JSON formatting . For more information, refer to these Zapier JSON formatting examples.
Only certain column types (Status, Dropdown, Date, Timeline, Link, Phone, Email, Numbers, Text, Long Text, Location) can be updated using plain text without JSON formatting.
Users must specify the exact Column ID when sending data to specific columns, as each column has a unique identifier per board. Learn more where to find board, item, and column IDs.
