ActiveCampaign and Zapier work together to automate your marketing and sales. You can use triggers like new contacts or updated deals to automatically add contacts to automations, manage tags, or create deals.

Prerequisites

To use the ActiveCampaign app on Zapier, you must have:

A paid ActiveCampaign plan.
If user permissions are enabled in your ActiveCampaign account, make sure you have the necessary access to specific features like Lists and Campaigns. If not, contact your ActiveCampaign administrator.

Connect ActiveCampaign to Zapier

Find your ActiveCampaign credentials

To find your API URL and Key, refer to ActiveCampaign's instructions.

Connect to ActiveCampaign on Zapier

To create an app connection to ActiveCampaign on Zapier:

Go to the Apps page.
Click + Add connection.
A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select ActiveCampaign.
Click Add connection.
A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
Complete the following fields:
- API URL: Enter your API URL.
- API Key: Enter your API Key.
Click Yes, Continue to ActiveCampaign.

Your ActiveCampaign account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

New or Updated Custom Object Record - Triggers when a Custom Object record is created or updated.
Deal Task Completed - Triggers when a deal task has been completed.
New Automation Webhook - Triggers when an automation sends out webhook data. To add a webhook in ActiveCampaign, navigate to your Automations section, add or edit an automation, and create a new "Webhook" action.
New Campaign Link Click - Triggers when a contact clicks a link in a campaign message (will only run once for each unique link).
New Campaign Starts Sending - Triggers when a new campaign starts sending.
New Contact Note - Triggers when a new contact note is added.
New Deal Note - Triggers when a new deal note is created.
New Deal Added or Updated - Triggers when a new deal is created or existing deal is updated.
Contact Added to List - Triggers whenever a contact is added to a list.
New or Updated Contact - Triggers when a new contact is created or an existing contact's details are updated.
Custom Object Record Deleted - Triggers when a custom object record is deleted in ActiveCampaign.
New or Updated Account - Triggers when a new account is added or an existing account's details are updated.

Update Deal - Updates an existing deal.

Limitations

ActiveCampaign has a API rate limit of 5 requests per second per account.
Both the New Deal Added or Updated and New Contact Added or Updated triggers run when a deal or contact is either newly created or updated. To specify when your automation runs, add a filter step to your workflow.
