DeepSeek and Zapier connect to automate AI tasks. You can create chat completions and make API requests to generate AI responses.
Prerequisites
To use the DeepSeek app on Zapier, you must have:
- A DeepSeek platform account.
- A valid DeepSeek API key generated from your DeepSeek platform account.
- Account balance (either topped-up or granted balance) to pay for API usage, as DeepSeek operates on a pay-per-token model with no free tier.
Connect DeepSeek to Zapier
To create an app connection to DeepSeek on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select DeepSeek.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- In the API Key field, enter your DeepSeek API key.
- Click Yes, Continue to DeepSeek.
Your DeepSeek account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

Limitations
- Rate limits are adjusted dynamically according to real-time traffic pressure and each account's short-term historical usage, with no option to increase limits for individual accounts.
- API usage requires maintaining sufficient balance in your DeepSeek account, with 402 "Insufficient Balance" errors occurring when funds run out. Learn more about DeepSeek error codes.
