Jotform and Zapier connect to automate form workflows. You can trigger actions when new submissions are received and create new submissions or assign forms.
Prerequisites
To use the Jotform app on Zapier, you must have:
- A Jotform account (free Starter plan or any paid plan).
- At least one published form in your Jotform account to connect.
Connect Jotform to Zapier
To create an app connection to Jotform on Zapier:
- Go to the Apps page.
- Click + Add connection.
- A new dialog box will appear. Search for and select Jotform.
- Click Add connection.
- A Connect an Account page will open in a browser tab or window.
- You can complete the following optional fields:
- Account HIPAA Compliant?
- Do You Use European Datacenters?
- If you're unsure how to answer, you can find this information in your Jotform account settings.
- Click Yes, Continue to Jotform.
- Log into Jotform to authenticate.
- Grant Zapier permission to access your account if prompted to.
Your Jotform account is now successfully connected to Zapier.

- New Submission (Instant) - Triggers when a new submission has been added to a specific. form.
- New Signed Document (Polling) - Triggers when a signed document is received.
Searches
- No search actions are available for Jotform.
Actions
- Assign Form - Invite assignees to complete your form.
- Create Submission - Generate a new submission for your form.
- Assign Prefilled Form - Invite assignees to complete your pre-populated form.
- API Request (Beta) - This is an advanced action which makes a raw HTTP request that includes this integration's authentication.
Limitations
- Daily API call limits based on plan type. Free Jotform accounts are limited to 1,000 API requests per day, Bronze accounts to 10,000 requests per day, Silver to 50,000, and Gold to 100,000. These limits reset at midnight EST and can cause integrations to fail when exceeded.
- For branded accounts (i.e. yourcompanyname.jotform.com) and sub-user accounts, you must use the Jotform Enterprise app instead of this integration.
