Limitations
- Mailchimp Marketing API has a limit of 10 simultaneous app connections per user. Requests exceeding this limit will receive a 429 (Too Many Requests) error.
- API rate limits apply. The Marketing API has a 120-second timeout on API calls. Requests taking longer than 120 seconds will be terminated.
- If your Mailchimp list has double opt-in enabled, subscribers added by Zapier will not show up in the list immediately until they confirm via the double opt-in email.
- Mailchimp checks for duplication based on email addresses. When an action attempts to add an email that's already in the list, the task will not proceed.
- Zapier does not have an action that sends a campaign to a specific person. The Send Campaign action will email all contacts in your audience.
- To dynamically update group fields, you must format groups to match the exact format:
group category->group option
. - If someone subscribes, unsubscribes, and is later re-added to a list, the Zap will not trigger as it sees it as a duplicate. Unique email addresses will only trigger once.
