File upload fields let users upload their own files through a form component in Zapier Interfaces. You can restrict the allowed file types, file sizes, and maximum number of files. Learn how to add a new form component.

To add a file upload field to your form:

  • Click an existing form component on any page of your interface. A sidebar will open.
  • In the Content tab, under the Fields section, click + Add field.
  • In the field Field name in Table, enter a name for the new field.
  • Click the Type field dropdown menu and select File upload (for single file uploads) or Multiple file upload.
  • Customize field settings, then click Insert field.

Customize file upload options

The following settings for the file upload field can be customized:

Setting name Description and limits
Max File Size The maximum file size.
  • Free plan: up to 5MB.
  • Pro and Advanced plans: up tp 25MB.
Allowed File Types The types of files accepted. Must be separated by commas. Learn more about the supported file types.
Set files limit ("Multiple file upload" field only) Restricts the number of files that can be uploaded.
  • Free plan: up to 3 files.
  • Pro and Advanced plans: up to 100 files.

Locate uploaded files

Files uploaded through a form are added as a link to the table field that powers your form. To view the uploaded files:

  • From the page in the interface where your form is located, click the Linked assets icon.
  • Click the icon beside the name of the table linked to your form.
  • Find your file field, and click the white space within any of its cells to see the full content of that cell.
  • Click the icon on one of the Link fields of the cell to open or download the file.
