Requirements

  • The table must be part of a Team or Enterprise Zapier account.
  • You must be the current table owner, the Zapier account owner, or a Super Admin.
  • The table cannot have Linked Record fields.

How to change ownership of a table

When you change ownership of a table, only the table and its views are assigned to the new owner. Any Zaps, interfaces, or other linked assets must be shared separately.

To change ownership of a table on your Zapier account:

  1. From the Tables home, select your table.
  2. In the top navigation of the table, click Share. A dialog box will appear.

Transfer it to a user who does not have access to the table

  • Click the Change owner icon .
  • In the search box, search for and select the name or email address of the new owner.
    • If there are any linked assets, they will be listed in the dialog box. You must share them separately.
  • Click Change owner.

The new owner will get an email notification about the change.

  • From the list of users with access, scroll to find the user.
  • Click the dropdown menu beside their name and select Make owner.
    • If there are any linked assets, they will be listed in the dialog box. You must share them separately.
  • Click Change owner.

The new owner will get an email notification about the change.

  • If the table is shared with your Zapier account or your team, you'll retain access and have the same role as other users.
  • If the table is not shared with the account, you'll no longer have access to it.
    • If you still need access, you must ask the new owner to add you as an editor or viewer.

Limitations

  • Linked assets are not transferred to the new owner automatically. Ensure you change the owner of any other assets to avoid breaking existing automations. Learn how to change ownership of:
    • Interfaces.
    • Zaps.
  • You cannot undo ownership changes. Always verify the name and email of the person before transferring.
