For Zapier to automatically send data from one of your apps to another, you must first connect those apps to Zapier. These app connections give Zapier secure access to read and write data to those apps.
You can connect your app accounts from the:
- App Connections page.
- Zap editor.
You can also connect multiple accounts for the same app.
Prerequisite
You must have the correct permissions to connect your app to Zapier. Check your app account settings to verify your account permissions.
Connect app accounts in the Apps page
- Go to the App Connections page.
- In the upper right, click + Add connection.
- Search for and select the app you want to connect.
- Click Add connection. A new browser tab or window will open.
- Follow the instructions to connect your app account.
- If nothing happens when you select an app, turn off your browser’s pop-up blocker.
You’ll now be able to create Zaps using the connected app account.
Connect app accounts in the Zap editor
You can also connect new apps when you create Zaps in the editor. In the Setup tab of your step, you will find different options depending on whether you connected this app before:
- If:
- you’re connecting for the first time, you’ll find a Sign in button. Click this to connect a new app account.
- you’ve previously connected this app account, you’ll find a Select button. Click this to either pick an existing account from your list, or click + Connect a new account.
- A new browser tab or window will open. Follow the instructions to connect your app account.
You’ll now be able to create Zaps using the connected app account.
Connect multiple accounts for the same app
You can use different accounts from the same app in different Zaps. To do this, create a new connection through the App Connections page or in the Zap editor.
Zapier may automatically connect to an existing account because the browser's cookies recognize that you’re already logged into that service on another tab. To avoid that, you can:
- Log out of the app on another browser tab so the connection window in Zapier will request that you log in again.
- Use a different browser or an incognito/private window to log in to Zapier and create another connection.
Limitations
Your Zapier account has a limit of 5,000 app connections.
Next steps
Once you’ve connected an app account to Zapier, you can manage the app connection on the App Connections page.
