Domain capture allows you to consolidate all Zapier users at your organization under a single account for better account management, user onboarding, and security. You can use it to determine how your employees join your Enterprise account. You can also use it to capture new users who sign up on your account.
Once domain capture is enabled, users at your organization will automatically join your Enterprise account. This prevents users from creating separate Zapier accounts using your organization’s domain.
Prerequisites
Enable domain capture
To use domain capture, you must:
- Go to your account Settings.
- In the left sidebar, under the Admin settings section, click Security and privacy.
- Under the Security section, click Domain management.
- Under the Domain access settings section, select one of the following options from the dropdown:
- Anyone at a verified domain can join (default).
- Only invited users.
- Click Save changes.
Assign Zapier to your employees in your SAML application
- You must assign Zapier to your employees in the identity provider that you used to enable SAML, like Okta, Entra, or OneLogin.
- When they sign up, they will see a dialog box that notifies them that an Enterprise account exists.
- If they click:
- Join your team, they’ll be redirected to your identity provider to authenticate and join your account.
- Use a different email, they will not be able to sign up for Zapier using an email address with your organization's email domain.
Limitations
- You must be an admin, super admin, or owner of your Enterprise account to enable domain capture.
- Your domain cannot use a free email domain like gmail.com or yahoo.com.
- Users must sign up from zapier.com/signup using their email or Google SSO.
- Domain capture is not available for users who use another SSO service, such as Facebook or Microsoft.
- Domain capture will capture new users who sign up on your account. It will not capture existing users using your domain. You must use a manual account consolidation process to capture existing users.
- Domain insights will display all Zapier users who have signed up using your verified domain, including both free and paid accounts.
